Scion, Toyota's millennial targeted brand, approached us needing not only a website redesign, but a business transformation tool. We met with senior-level key stake holders to dig deep into solving major business challenges, overhauling the vehicle customization process, while inspiring our Millennial target.

The Strategy.

Making the website cool while making it usable and solving major business challenges is no small task. But in an automotive landscape of digital sameness, very rarely do you get an opportunity to create a unique experience that accomplishes all of them. We began taking a deep-dive into their brand and customer personas, we then audited their current website and established user goals, business goals, and established key metrics. After the first stage we moved into site architecture, site map, user journeys, wireframes, and finally concepts.

Summary:
Our solution. Desktop, mobile and app designs that not only took the Scion brand to the next level, but solved their need for an easy-to-use interface and vehicle customization. We integrated their social media, video and sophisticated tools for driving the Scion brand and sales.

Our part was Strategy and Design while their team took over the programming into their proprietary system.

My Role:

  • Audited previous online presence, helped gathered website inventory, provided SWOT and competitive analysis
  • Conducted interviews and delivered business requirements
  • Helped develop user personas, use cases, and customer journey
  • Created sitemap, wireframes, directed clickable prototypes, usability and heuristic evaluations
  • Designed winning concept

Scion Live App.

The Scion Live App was created to connect the brand to lifestyle. It integrated music, live events, cars and accessories all under one roof.

Scion was exceedingly happy with the strategy and designs we provided and enlisted us to design the launch promotions of their new TC sportscar, an interface design of their multimedia car interfaces along with other business tools.
